New User, NEED HELP FAST
So I own the IS300 but my friend does and I had to drive it last night. When i stopped to get out the key wasnt coming out smooth so I sort of had to yank it but not even very hard. He was telling me something was up with it so I just said ok i have to take the car anyway itll be fine.
But when I go back to start it, the key goes in all the way, but doesnt turn. Its like its stuck. And when I look i see its on ACC, it should be on lock correct? to make it able to turn to start? How can I fix this and get it out the store parking lot?? I really need some help.

turn your steering wheel ... i cant remember the technical name for why it does that but there is a reason
having said that ... its 5 hrs l8r and if you're STILL in the parking lot i'm gonna guess u called your friend and he came and solved ur problem

Step on the brake pedal, turn the steering wheel to the right, and turn the key.
It works for my Volvo and BMW, never tried it on a Lexus though. Never had that problem because of the hibernating steering wheel.

The IS did have a number of reports of improper key removal damaging the mechanism, which can be a bit expensive to repair. Hope yours is just a case of needing to "unlock" it by turning the steering wheel and turning the key like others have stated.
