Anyone have a funky/bad smell, when you push your car hard.
I've notice that when I have my windows rolled down, upon entering a freeway if I need to floor it to squeeze into traffic going from 50-80 in a heartbeat... that there's this bad smell, kinda like bundt radiator fluid or something. But under normal acceleration, no bad smell...hmmm...
My buddies IS does this too.
Any ideas...
Try it with your window down, yours to might have it too.

 

Never noticed if myself. You should check for leaks.

 

i second to check for leaks. possibly an exhaust leak? can't hurt to go over your bolts and look for a leak at the seals. you can tell exhaust leaks pretty easy cause there will be a dark sut where it's leaking from the connection.

that would be my guess even tho it wouldn't really smell like burnt radiator fluid. let us know what you find.

 

hey jimmies your exhaust smells because the fuel trim go's rich, there for burning the cat up. the smell you smell is the cat.

If you normally drive like a sane person then when you eventually get on it you'll notice the smell of junk getting burned out of the cats. It's good to do that once in a while.

 

Never had that problem, have you and your buddy taken of heat any heat shields?
