Hey yall,

I have a 2003 IS300 and couple of months earlier my driver side door would not unlock or lock with my key remote button. On the first press of the button the lock button on the door would move slightly, as it was stuck, but then when I pressed the remote button again then it would lock or unlock. As you guys know the driver side door is supposed to unlock on the first button press but i have to press remote key button twice to open the driver side door and a third time to open all doors. Ok so a few weeks go by and i ignore this problem b/c it was really not a big deal pressing the button one extra time to unlock or lock, but somehow it fixed itself and the problem was completely gone. So i was all happy until today, the lock wont even unlock or lock with the remote key button, it doesnt budge at all!!issed: It unlocks or lock when i unlock/lock manually however the driver side door is the only one getting stuck completely wheni press the button on the key to open automatically. So now I have to lock the door manually before I close the door as I get out because when I press my remote key button to activate the alarm on my car and turn my lights off it wont work without having to do that. Has anyone experienced this problem before and if yes wat is the cause of the problem and what kind of trouble am In for as it comes to getting it fixed and costs...

 

That is crazy! My car started doing the exact same thing last Friday. I don't know what the deal is. I am going to buy another battery and see if that helps but I think it is the actuator that is bad. When I press unlock all the doors unlock or lock but the driver side.

I have to use my key to lock and etc...(what a pain). I will let you know what I find out tomorrow.

ya this is happening to my car also, but i have a feeling its from my lms remote start and cf hood

iono my friend was saying that my cf hood is not registering as being closed due to it having no ground in it. iono
i would definitely wanna hear how you guys fixed this
