Default What should I buy?

I am thinking about getting a new car. I am debating between, the Lexus Is300 (new), Lexus GS 300 (used), or BMW 325ci (used)? Which is fastest? What has the most perfromance mods available? Etc.?

not to offend and GS3 owners - i think that the IS is way better than a GS3. the GS has more space but alot slower, and i try to get as much speed as i can...thats what i like. I thought about a bimmer but I decided against it, and I believe the 325 is slower than the IS. It's be a hard choice between the 325 and the IS, but the way you phrased it answered it - IS(new) vs BMW(used) (one point for lexus), and personally i hate the 4 door 3 series. it looks like the car is fat...lol... it'd be a harder choice if it was a coupe, but its used. Id go with the IS

IS all the way... its kinda of a waste to get a used vehicle if u have a choice to get a new vehicle that out-performs them!

Default IS vs GS

If you're still in your teen years, mentally or otherwise, by all means get the IS, it definitely fits that image.

If you aren't into the "boy racer" image then the GS300 will fit you like a glove. Regarding the warranty issue, I'm sure you can get a Lexus certified used one, and I think the certified warranty is actually better than the "new" warranty.

Really, everything else aside, including snide remarks, the GS300 is so much better overall than the IS I'm not sure why the IS even exists except for downmarket pricing.

depends what you're looking for... among those, i'd rather to get a new IS300. for bimmers, there aren't as much modifications you can do w/ the car, and they're expensive...
IS is fun driving, and fast. if you're looking for a fast car, go for the basic 330Ci, it's fast, or the WRX, its cheap and it's fast!

I was looking at the WRX for awhile, it is very fast, it actually is comparable to the S4 and just a tad bit slower then the M3, it's not as luxurious a car as the IS, GS or BMW but it's cheap as hell.

Personally, I think that anything but the 700 series and M series BMW (maybe some 500 series) are not that great. You pay a lot of money for the name, and not much performance.
The GS300 isn't that fast but maybe you could find a GS400. That thing is sweet.

I still recommend going new and getting the IS 300. Why buy a used car that doesn't out perform it for the same price?
