The tire recall notice is true. I had it done earlier this year. The tires that came with the car was rubbing into something on the inner of the tire. I had a flat on my rear right side tire. The hole was caused by the tire rubbing into something on the inside. I called the dealership and they replaced all my tires including the spare with Dunlop sports 17" tires. They acutually look more agressive then the old one. The only problem is they are a bit softer. I am in California and I have been checking my tires each month. The wear is showing. 15k more miles and I should be on another set of tires. I drive my 2001 IS more than my 1998 GS400.
