Default Somebody please help!

I'm doing my friends tint in his IS, and i can't figure out how to get the rear cover off. The cover that holds the 3rd brake light and the two rear speaker covers. I can't really get the bubbles out without taking that cover off. Any help?

if you dont see too much help here go over the the site "my.is" It is a much larger forum focusing much more on the 1st generation IS.

Hope you can find someone over there that can help you out.

I think you have to take the back seat out.

Hmmm.... I don't have a 3rd break light there, but i don't see why you would have to remove the speaker covers to finish the bottom edges...

If you want to remove the rear deck, than you gotta take out the rear seats both bottom and back part. Than you work your way up to the deck lid.

Yeah, actually they did my tint without taking anything apart and it looks fine.

That was my understanding because that thing is a pain in the *** to remove...

But~, I don't have a 3rd brake light back there, so maybe that is getting in the way?

I have the 3rd brake light. Taking that apart may give you a slightly cleaner install for the tint, but would be overkill and a waste of time in my book.
