Unhappy how ?

Hey guys .... i got an is300 2001 and of course its an auto. i was jus wondering if u guys had any tips or anything on racing or to get a faster start or weather to turn on the trac or off ...... and the ect power stuff .. if i should put it in to Manual... u know? like is there any way i can get a nice start ? ? any tips would help ........ thanx guys

2 alwayz get a good start u should use the Tourqe Brake Technique since the car is an auto. and u should also turn the trac off wen racing and im not sure about other ppl, but i leev mine in auto and not manuel. i think itz faster that way, but thatz all i noe. hopes this helps

TRAC OFF

PWR Button ON

Manually move lever into 1st gear or L, I forget now what the letter or number is.

And yes torque brake.

However, you may not be able to really get significant drop in 0-60 without serious mods. Just an unfortunate reality.

I power brake it at 3000-3300 rpm and then jsut let it roar!!!!!!!

thanx guys , but i have a question and i know ill sound really stupid but im new to this how do u power break?? and does it hurt ur engine in anyway or ur car? breaks? sorry for the stupid question again ...... but anything would help thanx

If you put it in neutral... go to 5,000 RPMs and put it in "D" it will spin the wheels... giving you the opportunity to race another car.

BUT this will cause transmission problems....

The only way to race it w/out a lot of damage is to hit the gas pedal all the way !!!!!!!!

as the other post says... take out the traction control and put the PWB on....

As for the automatic tranny, it's quite strong. If you have plans to go for boost in the future, you may want to strengthen the tranny through Level 10 or some other company that builds auto trannys. A good tranny upgrade would be a torque converter so that you will have a higher stall RPM.
