the power button jsut makes down shifting quicker..
thats all..
feel the petal difference for yourself..
its easier to the touch and downshifts with less pushing..(as opposed to trac off and no power button)...

All ECT power does is make the computer a little more aggresive at holding a gear at part throttle or holding it out to a higher rpm at a given throttle position. I believe if you have the pedal all the way down, it doesn't matter at all.

I agree your car will respond quicker with the ECT and traction control off...

Here is a few more tips...

*Have only 1/4 tank of gas in the car(to save weight)... Use the highest octane feul you can find... or use an octane booster

*put 2 lbs more air in the frt. tires and 2 pounds less in the rear...(make sure all tires are the same frt to rr.)

*Take out the spare and any unneccessary weight

*Check for vacuum leaks around your intake

*Reset your ECU by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and drive hard to program your driving habits...

With the S-AFC and options your car should be at least low 15's I would think.. You may have to tune your AFC settings better... Good luck!

Yes, and you should always have TRAC off, too... IMO the IS is one boring ride with TRAC on.

Yet another idiot light.

I just raced at the Orlando Speedworld this weekend.
They had an event called "War of the Imports", anyway
to make a long story short, I won 1st place with a
15.69 dial in. $1000.00 and a 2 foot tall trophy.
Our cars may not be the fastest, but if you have good
reaction time they are great for bracket racing.
