So the toggle **** that is used for volume and power is messed up. You cant really push it in and when you adjust the volume, it pushes the switch to turn the radio off... does that mean i have to get a whole new cdplayer??

 

Sounds like you have a jammed volume ****. You probably would spend too much to get the **** repaired. An aftermarket unit sounds like the next best option. Or you can check the classified section to see if anyone is selling their OEM IS300 radio for a good price.

the other option would be if your good w/ working on small things is to find someone w/ the common jammed CD mechanism problem and pick up there head unit for cheap, and steal the parts out of that. might be easy, and might be hard, i've never had mine apart for that before.
