Hello all

I'm looking to buy an IS within the next few months. Does anyone know if there will be any minor changes to the 2005 IS? New colors, etc...Also, when do the '05s arrive at dealerships?

Fall of 2005 will be the debut of the all new redesigned IS300. More of everything compare to current model. I beleive it will be a 2006 with early debut. Pics are coming soon even thou I have one but it might be a photoshop pic of current IS300 and Concept car.

 

usually new year models start arriving, if i am not mistaken around sept or oct. but like victor said the new one is supposed to debut late 05 (directly after the GS comes on the market) so I would wait for that.

 

i haven't hear much changes on the 05. for example last yr before the 04 came out i knew ahead of time about teh memory seat. this yr i haven't heard anything yet

maybe lexus is too busy with the rx400h and the new gs debut next yr

 

Thanks guys for the info. I'm aware of the next gen IS coming out soon after the debut of the '06 GS, but I just love the current IS body style! Plus I want to get the smooth 2JZ before its gone forever....

I would prefer to get an '05, but if there aren't many changes AND the '04s are discounted more, I may go for that.

 

well if you want you can always wait until the 05 is out. by then you are sure what's on 05, and if anything, 04 would be at pretty good price too

 

Exactly. 04's w/Memory Seats will be definitely a bargain by the time 05's roll out.

 

The current IS is great but the redesigned 2006 model is going to be dramatically improved.
It will truly be a 3 series killer. Look for a sleeker, more powerful, and more passionate segment buster!

I'd say wait till you see the first pics of the 2006 then decide. You'll still have time to get a 2005 if that's what you prefer.

well see, the new gs is 2006 and we know how it looks already. if there is a different 2006 is, we should have seen it now too

Well, the new GS is supposed to come out in the spring of '05 for MY '06. I seem to remember Lexus GM Denny Clements publicly saying that the next gen IS would follow the GS by 6 months. That would mean the new IS should come out fall '05 for MY '06. Anyone remember this?

 

i've only seen the concept car for the next is, the ultra sci-fi, seemingly capable of intergallectic traveling with hardtop convertible canopying 4 full seats underneath it. is that the one henry?

if so, it's sweeter, love those led lites , front, back, and on lexus emblem.
