Default New Guy

Hey what's going on im Cody. New to the lexus world. I've been shopping around and Im most likely going to be picking up a lexus here in the next month. I've owned 4 RX-7's and im trying to get into something that is a little bit more comfortable. Hopefully a 5-speed is300. I would most likely be wanting to turbo it down the road keep the stock body and make it some what of a sleeper nothing fancy no loud bov just something that's crazy fast. I just wanted to say hi to everybody and say i look forward to joining the lexus family.

Welcome Cody! Be sure to check out the southeast regional forums - there are meets down in FL pretty much every month.

Cool cool from what i've noticed there aren't many 5-speeds around everything is the e-shift so i might have to order one from the dealer. The 5-speed is most likely faster i would assume. But i haven't been able to test drive a 5-speed because i can't find one. I don't want to make them order one just so i can drive it.

So i went to the dealership last night. Looked around. Saw a few nice ones. They had a yellow 03 they were trying to get rid of said it was 30k out the door. But im wanting something darker. Nice condition used one for $22,000. 53,000miles 3year/100,000mile warranty. I just can't decide seems like new it's going to be 32,000 and used is 22,000 don't really know which i would rather have.

Go with the less miles unless you dont drive much but when you get the car you will drive it every where and next you'll have 80,000!! I would work on the $ you should not pay 30k for a 03.

That sounds like a great deal especially after taxes and licensing. I wish CA tax and license was cheaper. Otherwise...i'd be 30k out the door myself w/my 2004.

Im in jacksonville, FL about as far north as you can get. I went to the dealership this weekend and I will be getting a 2004 Black is300. 33k with t,t,l. Not the greatest deal but they were trying to get it out the door for like 36,000. So im checking on insurance and a few other things. I'll most likely be calling them back later this afternoon and telling them to order it for me. That was another thing since they were ordering it they couldn't come off more on the price. He told me if I wanted something on the lot then it would be lower than 33k. But they only had like a few.
