1. where did you get an AEM EMS for the IS300? 2. its not out yet? 3. if your boosting that high you dont even want VVTi on anyways? 4. why did you swap a 1998 motor in? the stock IS motor is a VVTi motor? But for more insight post on www.is300.net on the go fast forums to get your reply.

You might be able to re-pin a MKIV or SC AEM to work in an IS3, but no one that I know of has made it work with the vvt-i yet, especially since it's load and speed dependant and not just on/off, but it may still be possible.

actually speaking with someone who ran through every ecu out there the HKS was the best. APEXi tended to not support idle function to good on Nissan as i remember.
I dont think LinkSYS supports the model...i dont know.
I did find a stand alone program but fully laptop based :P it looked EXtremely nice but i think offered alot of room for you to screw something up.

I would take his advice considering he paid for all the mistakes and i didnt have to. mostly all of it revolved around the VVTI operation.

If you wan to reset the battery every 150 miles. Getting an AEM unit to work with VTT-I is not that hard anymore.

Wow, this thread is over a year old. You mentioned the HKS; I assume you're talking about the HKS FConV Pro? There are a lot of good standalones in the market, but it depends on what you need. People should also consider systems like the Motec, Haltech, or TEC3, which IS300 tuners have chosen to use. I only know of one person who has the HKS in their IS, not exactly plug and play; likewise for the AEM.
