Has anyone here done it before? Does it work? Would it be more efficient just to get a turbo kit? I'm new to this forum, I just got my IS a couple days ago.

Is it efficient? I don't know - you can build up the GE with the money you would use for the swap.

it's been done more than a few times before already, works very well and it's very good. worth it or not? it's up to you. personally i would do the swap over single turbo

 

Ask IS300GTE on is300.net about how much it would cost to swap the GE to a GTE

 

Yep go on Is300.net and search and PM IS300GTE...He said Nothing fits and everything has to be custom made

 

yup, all the engine mounts are not the same

 

Hey - another supra owner. Check this thread out. Cool pics of the engine/tranny being shoved into the IS engine bay on page 2.

I saw this car in person, it was very nice. Looked like it should've come from the factory this way!

Yeah, personally if I had the funds, i'd definitely GTE swap my IS300. Definitely a Supra in sheeps clothing if you may. oh yes and welcome to CL!
