Default Antenna replacement

The factory antenna should be OK for most uses unless you want to go to XM satellite radio....then you might have to change it. It works a lot better than that wire-antenna crap you see on some new cars..... and the older GM cars from the 80's.
Where did you get an Altezza? I didn't think that car was available in North America....here they market it as the Lexus IS300 in the U.S. and the IS200/300 in Canada.

man, he had you fooled! i am sure he just swapped out the badges.

GS300jay, I also have the "shorty" antennae and love the look of it much better than the stock one and it works great!

Default Fooled?

Well guys, maybe I made the mistake of assuming some of you...like me.... were more honest than the salespeople you dealt with.
Seriously, though, there ARE some Euro and Jap-market spec cars running around in the U.S. legally.....they're called gray market cars and they usually have EPA and DOT waivers...but getting those waivers can be tedious and a pain in the ***.

I wish it was a real Altezza, but I just re-badged an IS 300.
