The factory antenna should be OK for most uses unless you want to go to XM satellite radio....then you might have to change it. It works a lot better than that wire-antenna crap you see on some new cars..... and the older GM cars from the 80's.
Where did you get an Altezza? I didn't think that car was available in North America....here they market it as the Lexus IS300 in the U.S. and the IS200/300 in Canada.

GS300jay, I also have the "shorty" antennae and love the look of it much better than the stock one and it works great!

changing out the badges from is300 to altezza is as easy as it can get
Well guys, maybe I made the mistake of assuming some of you...like me.... were more honest than the salespeople you dealt with.
Seriously, though, there ARE some Euro and Jap-market spec cars running around in the U.S. legally.....they're called gray market cars and they usually have EPA and DOT waivers...but getting those waivers can be tedious and a pain in the ***.

that i know, i have seen enough skyline around me. but altezza here in the US i havent' heard of one yet
