Anyone ever had code p1128-throttle position motor lock?? Which actually goes down a rabbit hole to other "possibilities".
I've replaced my throttle body twice, spark plugs,all vacuum hoses,ALL oxy sensors Denso. Mass airflow twice🤔🤔🤔 what else did I probably did not need to replace.. temp sensor...anyways even after all of that the code still persists. What's weird though is when I start the car (cold start) it revs high 3krpms. The check engine light comes on and flashing trac light. Usually I can clear the light and that makes the car drivable.
However when I put the car in reverse it automatically cuts off.
So then I'll have to turn the car off, then back on, then it'll go in reverse.. But then it'll be in "limp" mode. So I can reverse fine. But if put in drive the throttle doesn't respond.
Anyone every had this issue?? Or advise? It causes?? I'm at a loss at this point. 😩

 

On the 2001 to 2005 IS model. That code is the throttle position motor, If you replaced it and the code came back on a stock setup. I would look at the wires and connectors.
