Hey Guys and gals.. So my car was doing just fine until i decided to change the spark plugs and ofc to change spark plug you got to unhook throttle body to access other plugs. so after i did that i also had a wire straight from batter across my valve cover that was cut and i guess it arced on the valve covers.. I didn’t think much if it.. I put the car back together went go start and nothing, Acted like it wanted to start but didn’t. Seen the codes and pulled up 27 codes… On cluster gauge the battery light doesn’t come on in accessory mode anymore as well as the gear select, and the ambient air temp next to clock displays E, I checked every fuse and it was all good.. I might have fried my ecu i just need second opinion, and yes I did check to see if ecu is getting That 12 volt constant on the batt pin.
Disconnect your battery and reset everything and then see what happens. It’s always recommended you disconnect the battery when working on it, but that shouldn’t have happened like that. Unless something tough the positive battery terminal or something. Usually it’ll pop the main fuse before the ECU will will get fried. So it shouldn’t be too terrible
I would have thought it destroyed the main fuse too but for some reason all the fuses were perfectly fine? Did continuity test and all fuses were good, Maybe instead the sensors got fried but then again that’s a whole lot of sensors to replace..
