Default 2016 vs 2020 drive train changes

Hello,

Am in the market for a used 2016 - 2020 RX450h. Are there any marked differences between battery packs, range or product changes between model years?

Edit: Based on parts numbers, 2016 and 2020 have the same battery pack and trans-axle motor.

Still curious if any known changes were made to other drivetrain parts.

Yes, there is one big difference. The 2020 will have a newer year serial number stamped on the engine. Flip side is the 2016 will not have the concern of covid19 in the factory to distract workers.

The hybrid battery is warrantied for 10 years or 150,000 miles, vs earlier models warranty at 8 years and 100,000 miles.

Workplace distraction might be a thing. Made me laugh

Thanks for the warranty info. Given that the battery part numbers are the same this must be just based on the increased confidence on the longevity of the battery pack and the whole drivetrain as such.

Glad you found the humor in my comment! What I'm really saying is, nothing of significance I'm aware of in my research.

Better Radar cruise control and Lane keep. Apple CarPlay and a more useful infotainment system. In addition of usual updates to fix known issues of previous years.
