Default 2012 Lexus LS600hL

I'm not really in the market for an LS600hL, as my 2010 is doing just fine and will be perfect for me for at least another 4 years, but I noticed what seems to be a pretty decent deal on a low-mileage 2012 LS600hL so I thought I'd post it here in case anyone is on the hunt for one of these unicorns. This one is being offered by a private seller in New York, and is supposedly accident-free. It has just over 20k miles and is being sold for $27,200 asking price. Looks to be fairly well loaded, with LKA, DRCC, etc., but no executive seating package. The 2012s were fairly well regarded, as most of the early issues had been worked out. Many people (like me) prefer the pre-2013 styling. Anyway, this might be a pretty nice option for someone in the market for the ultimate Lexus flagship...

Does look like a really nice one. I hate those crappy rubber strips stuck to the bumpers though....

Those rubber strips are hideous

It looks nice but I have a feeling it won't be selling very fast

The pre 13s are looking quite dated by now and they are not ageing very gracefully

I'm sure the 12 is much better then the 07"s though

It has been for sale for quite awhile with the asking price varying as high as about $42,000. Although it is portrayed on at least one site as being privately owned, it is depicted on a dealer lot. Perhaps they just have it on consignment. Although the rub strips are hideous, they might not have been a bad bumper protection idea for New York City!

I dont really agree with that. I think all the LS460s are still attractive and modern looking.

Just checked the Lexus service history on this unit. It underwent a dealer inspection at Lexus of Queens on 1/14/20 and they recommended the following service and repair:

- 4 new tires;
- alignment;
- new upper control arms;
- new ball joints;
- new wipers;
- new front brakes pads and rotors;
- new left front strut; and
- 4 year service.

It had 26208 miles as of that date, thousands more than listed in the linked ad.

The dealer website - Imperial Auto Mall on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn - still shows its price as $42,999. The Carfax is unavailable through their website, but lists 34 records. It evidently has had at least 2 owners.

I actually called the dealership on this one a few weeks back after noticing that pricing discrepancy; they are selling this at $42k not the lower incorrect Autotrader price....
