Is the end of Jan. better than the end of Feb. to buy a car or no difference? The best choice would be find a job near my house so that I do not have to drive 20k miles/y and get a nice ES. Not sure how long I would do this, though. Driving 8k miles sounds great. ES 350 would be very nice to drive daily. I previously owned an old LS 430 for a while and know how it goes.
Agreed, 20k is a lot of driving. Good luck with finding a closer job. I think that you'll find that Camry will give you a comfortable ride (17" wheels preferred) that will make your commute more bearable. I don't know that Jan or Feb is better than the other but if you're looking at a 2019, the sooner the better for best selection and dealing leverage. If you're a Costco member, besides the best price on fuel, some dealers have a Costco discount that might be easier than negotiating, though you may be able to get a better price if you're a good negotiator. Best wishes.

Thanks. I am not a good negotiator. The Costco thing sounds great. We have a membership and may ask for that. A quick question. Is the 17-inch wheel better than the 18-inch wheel? Is the ride difference noticeable? I thought I was going to get a Camry XLE which comes with more options than LE but it has the 18-inch wheel.

Take it for a test ride is the best way to see if it's comfortable. On this forum, people who mention a car's ride being harsh or noisy are advised that 18" wheels have a narrower sidewall than 17". The larger rims give a slightly sportier/stiffer ride. You may not notice at all. My Lexus ES350 has 18" rims and it rides fine for my preference. The XLE is nice!

Yes, I agree. I need to test drive it myself. I am told that 17" wheel is more fuel efficient as well. Anyhow, thanks for your feedback.

BTW lexus.com has in VA. several 2016 low mileage CPO 300h for about 28-29K. Close to the same price as a new 2019 Camry hybrid.
