Hi all,
Anybody have info about how to reset all system. The problem is that my gs450h on driving low rpms broke the chain (not the main from crankshaft to camshaft but short one between exhaust and intake camshafts). So it bended 2 exhaust valves. Now I changed all set of timing chain. New head with new valves and etc. Everything is in place checked it not twice but maybe 10 or even more times. When chain failed I had 1 or 2 lines on my hybride battery meter. All work and waiting for parta took about month so I thing my hybrid battery are totaly discharged. And now all lights go on but engine do not start. I don't get "ready" on my dash. Just get like ignition on and check hybrid system + ecb + vcs. How to reset everything after repairing how to start it again at least without hybrid to make it charge hybrid battery? Any help please? Lexus GS450h 2007 odo: 340000km
Even with 1 bar on hybrid battery display on center console means more than 40% charge which is more than enough to start car.
Make sure regular 12v battery has enough juice to run the electronics.
Make sure the steering wheel is not in semi turned locked and cocked position.
Steering is straight and unlocked, now when ignition is on hybrid battery shows more then half but I remember it was almost empty on console. 12v battery charged and voltmeter shows 12.7v. obd2 code reader shows no faults. And how to reset vsc and ecb. Thanks for help
Your reader probably can't communicate with the hybrid control ECU. You might need techstream for this. If you want to go down the mini-vci route (IMO there are better options - tactrix openport, vxdiag vcx nano, others... well there's mongoose, but that's a bit expensive ), look for one with firmware 2.0.4.
Have you taken out the service plug of the hybrid battery, by the way? If so, did you plug it back all the way in? Push, adjust handle, push to the side to lock? Could be this.

I used delphi 2015 release and yes it cant connect to hybrid ECU it shows only engine and etc faults ☹️ hybrid service plug was out but now it's in place. It's now way to reset it manualy without firmware? Something like in toyota: puting jumper on obd port and pushin brake and gear switch, closing doors and etc? Get techstream I think gona took month for me or I need search where to borow it but it's not easy in my place. It's small town ☹️

Disconnect the negative terminal, wait... say, 10 minutes, put it on again. This will clear it. Start the car, first time it might not ready up (won't throw errors).

I tried this allready, even left with both batterys disconected for 48h still stuck in same spot "check vsc + ecb +hybrid system. But now I remembered one more thing: I broke one of the direct injectors and replaced it with used one from car with low milage. Maybe injector must be calibrated now?
At this point we're shooting in the dark. In my opinion, go for techstream. I somehow doubt it's the injectors. I mean, you should be able to read the engine ECU codes, and that's where codes fro these should be set...

If you dont have Techstream, at least get a cheap handheld scanner you can use to clear the codes first.
Maybe this will get the car started, you can chase the codes again later if they reappear.

I'm using "Delphi" and it shows no faults at all. No pending faults, no stored faults, nothing just on the dash check hybrid, check vsc... But delphi shows VIN, throttle position and etc. so it's definitely connected to ecu. I ordered cheap toyota/lexus obd2 to usb adapter. Still waiting. And noticed after unlocking and with key inside "security" LED still blinks. But key works it let's me turn on ignition just don't turn engine.
There's the engine ECU, the hybrid control ECU (which is what stores errors that cause "check hybrid system" to be written on the dash, ABS/VSC/etc ECU…

Reason: comma
All problems gone. All info on the dash is fake info because car isn't starting and system can't identify them so ecu was without any fault codes just system showing on dash check... Becouse it doesn't have enough info. Dude from LT lexus club came with lexus diagnostic kit and found problem in my HV module it wasn't powering on because not enough juice in hybrid battery. But after clearing it and trying turn it on by force with diagnostic kit. It turned on and car started. Pic of problem
I have the same problem now can I do this without techstream? I have a autel mx808 coming in 3 days can it solve my problem
