New Toyota Century Announced - Using LS600hL Engine
It was interesting to read all about the latest Toyota Century (the uber-luxury limousine sold only in Japan, meant for royalty). It looks pretty amazing in the photos, very stately and enormous (resembles a Rolls Royce to me). I was surprised to see that this new car will be using the exact same engine that I have in my 2010 LS600hL,the hybrid 5.0-liter 2UR-FSE V-8. What a tribute to the amazing engine in my LS600hL!

Couldn't they have at least made it look like a modern RR rather than RR from 30 years ago? Why does the presidential rear seat have two seatbelts? It doesn't look like the 5-point-harness variety.
I think I've read that another major reason is due to quietness. It's much quieter than leather since leather can be so squeaky when rubbing against itself/clothing/etc.
