Did your sam's club unit fail form the get-go or did it fail after some time?
I think the battery was fine. There is a problem with the charging system in the car or some reason why it wont start sometimes without a jump.Originally Posted by rsvpdavid

The Costco Interstate AGM 35 series battery was just under $180 (WITH CORE DEPOSIT) and so far my car starts up just fine and hasn't caught on fire or gotten warm. If it was the back seat, I might worry about fumes from the pressure release valve but not in the trunk. I am going to use one of those bluetooth/smartphone monitors recommended earlier in the thread just to be extra sure. Costco interstate batteries have a 3-year warranty.
I just refuse to be gouged by the dealer for $700 and a crappy 12-month battery warranty, especially because the last one I bought from them only lasted < 2 years.
Wish me luck please!!
We have been trying to find out the problem why after paying $750 for a battery, why ours still isn't working correctly to start the carOriginally Posted by rsvpdavid
I never heard back form my last message here and ~$400 seems a lot to pay for a battery, (even with a 4 year warranty) so I went down to costo and matched your battery with an interstate 35 series. It fit in the trunk battery slot no problem, but the top bracket no longer screws in, which is something i think I can live with. Dont plan on getting this car on two wheels or doing any jumps. The Costco Interstate AGM 35 series battery was just under $180 (WITH CORE DEPOSIT) and so far my car starts up just fine and hasn't caught on fire or gotten warm.
