Trivia about drive battery indicator
I have seen the drain level (estimate) 15% low to high reaching the tip of the "+" in the instrument cluster display.
Has any one seen 100% full? Or it used to when the batteries were new?
Even after reaching the top of the +, I see charge flowing into the battery symbol but have never seen it go above the +

Lead Lap
Many times. Easily/repeatedly when descending long grades (feet off throttle/brake).
When at 100% and descending, the computer will spin up the ICE to help draw down the charge.

What I have never been able to get a good answer to is the question of if the battery status is the usable energy in the battery, or, the total. All hybrid systems never fully charge or discharge their battery packs to extend their lifespans.
So is the meter actually reading the ~80%-40% (or whatever range Lexus has decided to use) of the batteries capacity or 100%-0%? Since I have seen 100% and 0% I suspect it is just the usable capacity but no one has been able to provided any definitive documentation on this.

My update ,,,, I did get visually all full on the battery ... did not go up the terminal
Next time I will try to see if it still shows more juice flowing into the battery after it was depicted as full.
