Location trailer brake connector?
New to the forum and to RX. Recently acquired a pre-owned RX450h to tow a light weight travel trailer with electric brakes. I need to ad a brake controller and it looks like there is suppose to be a connector under the driver side dash. True/False?
If True, Can someone help point me in the right area?

That looks like a connector at the rear of the vehicle. Brake controllers that go under the dash generally have a short pigtail harness with a standard connector. I wasn't sure if the RX had a connector handy or if there is an adapter harness - none listed that I could find.
I could be wrong.
Thanks.

Agreed. Further research among vendors indicates that RX does not have the under-dash brake connector.
Recommended brake controller is the Tekonsha Prodigy RF .
NOTE: There is a second internal 10-pin connector located near the passenger side tail light for trailer light isolation. Without it the 4-pin socket pictured above is not activated.

My RX came w/o tow package. I have been trying to chase down exactly what the tow-prep package includes, because it doesn't necessarily include an installed hitch. But then I bought this RX pre-owned. But then none of the used RX350 supposedly with tow-prep had hitches.
I did pull the panels - no converter. Just the bare connector behind the tail light. A little more digging on etrailer seems to confirm that for RX450H w/o tow-prep, this will work.
I will follow-up.

On the same lines, I am researching a Brake Controller for my 2010, RX 350 AWD with Towing Package.
I wonder if this Brake Controller from Amazon work ?
TEKONSHA P3 BRAKE CONTROL + WIRING HARNESS FOR TOYOTA 4RUNNER, LANDCRUISER, SEQUOIA, TUNDRA TACOMA & LEXUS LX570 GX460 LX470 GX470. CONTROLLER + PLUG/PLAY WIRE KIT.
Has anybody towed a Trailer with Rx350 ?

Based on my research, those vehicles and the Tekonsha P3 have a under dash connector. The RX does not. That is why the RF is recommended.
It does work for my RX450 towing.
