I bought it used in November of 2020, when it had close to 168k on it. Repairs and maintenance have been what I would consider normal for a car of this age- nothing too crazy. The worst was having to replaced a seized caliper, and replace the timing belt and water pump. The interior looks amazing and the paint is still good, except for a few chips off the front. I had an auto body shop "fix" them, but they did a terrible job. The owner isn't there anymore, so it's definitely not a great place to go anymore, unfortunately. And they made a total mess of my car. Black grease everywhere, including inside. Took me 12 hours to clean it! I'm disabled so it was a real pain in the you-know-what. Other than that- I love my RX so much! I also love seeing other 2nd gen RXs on the road, looking good and still running! I don't drive a lot, because I can't work due to my disabilities, so I'm going to try to squeeze as many miles out of this car as possible. Unfortunately, I do live in Massachusetts, where the road salt is a killer, but the underneath rust isn't too bad yet.
WOW - your car can easily last you another 15 years at this rate.
how is the paint condition still? im assuming amazing.
Well, being a city machine, the side trim and bumpers could be better. And the lack of waxing, not so smart, so a better shine would have been possible. Still, I think the damage-free areas are at least 90%.
Checking in- At 168k now.. Rust has started to become the RX's enemy.
Body has gain some scratches and front has plenty of rock chips.
Most worried about the brake actuator.
Still love the car and hopes it can get me around for another 5 years.
2007, just picked up 2 weeks ago at a copart auction donated as a 1 owner, meticulously cared for, no accidents and paint is still metallic silver and shining after a polish. Needed a radiator but just Just hit 247k and I plan on going the distance with it as my winter ride well I garage the 2019 Q50S. I love the look and ride more than the Infiniti! 😎

Purchased it back in 2021 with 159K, currently has about 192k miles. So far I have gotten spark plugs, front and rear rotors and brake pads, front and rear suspension low beam HID's as one side was out. the Maf Sensor and the the timing belt is the only thing left to do. This is still the original battery. I paid around $3600.
Looks like a good auto shop you were able to get all this done.
Mine is 175K.
Misfiring and had to do Ignition coil changes along with battery. Ended up with 2K.
Only thing pending is Timing belt and water pump
