Guess it is never meant for me to see that mythical 28+mph numbers that people speak of.

Took the h down to Greensboro this weekend. It's a 660 mile trip I've taken numerous times previously. 80 miles in I get a 'Check Hybrid System" warning light.

Trip for was my son's HS graduation so the option of not continuing wasn't available. Long story short, averaged RX350 numbers for the entire trip.

Car is at the dealer now.

Oil Pump for the hybrid system failed and is being replaced.

Made a long trip that much longer since I couldn't pull over and research what the warning meant.

Figured I'd give an FYI in case anyone else ever receives the same.

 

$1,100 repair under warranty when all said and done.

Picked her up yesterday.

 

Good news. Sounds like a fluke break down, have not heard of that part going bad yet. Did they say anything re: the oil pump?

 

No, they were sort of surprised by it as well. I picked it up at 38,8xx miles from them so have no idea what the previous owner did to it. Just glad it happened now with 2,500 miles left on the warranty.
