Too much speed variation when in cruise control
Our car: 2006 RX 400h FWD. I am seeing too much variance in speed when using cruise control. If I set the control at 57 mph, when going up a slight hill the speed will drop off to about 52 mph before it tries to accelerate. Also when going downhill it allows the speed to increase to over 60 mph. I've driven enough other cars in cruise to know this is too much variance. I am sure this is especially annoying to any cars behind me. I can maintain better constant speed manually (without cruise). The Lexus dealer has checked it three times. They say it operates properly "for a hybrid". I find it unacceptable. Any thoughts?
