We only have 12k miles on the RX450h and the LED headlights are already showing haziness on the headlight cover. We had out CT200 for over 2 yeas and never saw this. I would like to know if anyone else have noticed this problem? I don't see any issues when driving, but when looking at the car with the lights on, it looks foggy and is creating some sort of shadow.
Please let me know if you have noticed this with your LED headlights.
I have no issues on my 2013 RX450h with LED Headlights that was one of the first off the line in 2012. My lenses front and rear are cystal clear -- more so than my RX400h ever was even when new. ...but then again, my RX is hand washed quite often by me, and until more recently the headlights have always received a coating of the same sealant (Zaino) I use on my finish that includes UV protection, each time I do it to my paint finish. A month or so ago, I applied Optimum Opti-Lens to them for good measure.
Assuming you've been taking relatively decent care of your RX, I'd suggest you ask your SA about the hazing when you take it in for service the next time. You have nothing to loose doing so. Good luck.
Last 3 cars I've owned. I've used Lamin-x protective film to protect the headlights no only from UV fading but also those little pits you get on the lenses from stones.
