Default Oil Change - Price

I have my issues with dealerships (aka stealerships). But, when the price is reasonable it is worth mentioning.

Oil and filter change using Toyota oil and filter at Granville Toyota in Vancouver BC was 64.09.

That's pretty much what I pay at the local Toyota store, sometimes a bit less when they have a special. And it includes tire rotation, torques checks, etc. Same service, coffee & donuts vs bagels & latte's. Priceless .

I wish they had thrown in the tire rotation. These cars are heavy.

No coffee & donuts and no bagels & latte's. A donut would have been helpful.

I paid 201 after tax, its like 189 - oil change ; tire rotation, "free wash" and misc stuff. They tried to get me for air filter @ 125 and wipers @ 75.

I bought air filter online for 22 and 3 wipers for 30.

Minor service with an oil change typically runs me about $120. My SA usually tacks on a coupon to bring down the cost more. Buying and replacing parts on your own like the cabin filter, wiper refills and key fob batteries should bring it down even further. I'd recommend getting a Lexus credit card to pay for maintenance. You get 1.5 points for every dollar spent on regular purchases and 5 points for every dollar spent at the dealer. The points can be redeemed for parts, service or a down payment. I plan on using mine towards the 30K (major service with oil change). Chances are I won't pay anything which means 2013 will be free to me

Default Priceless

I just received a coupon from a Toyota store I've used very near the Lexus store for Oil & Filter change, check the car over and car wash for $10.99

Guess I'll have to pay a smidgen for tire rotation .

What is the asterisk condition on that price? Seems like a great deal otherwise!

The $10.99 could be the price of the labor but that doesn't include the price of oil or the donuts.

Yea, I noticed that too. It say's for 'some' oils there may be a 'slight' increase in price. Ok, so I expect a 'slight' increase but from these folks I don't think it will do much more than double. Still PRICELESS
