Default HI! just bought a 2008 rx400h

Just traded my 2002 rx 300 for the 400h. The second day after I picked it up the check hybrid system light came on. It was in shop for two weeks. fan that cools hybrid motor stoped working.
luckily i bought certified. I really like the truck. much better ride the my old truck. it is my daily driver.
I have an IS-F for the weekend. wanted to get hybrid to be more eco friendly since I only get 5-8 mpg
in my is-f.

Are you referring to the inverter coolant pump? I'm not aware of a cooling "fan" for the hybrid system.

5-8 mpg in the IS-F? Are you driving like a racecar driver?

the cooling fan for the gas engine is the soul cooling fan for the inverter and gas engine. I have had the electric pump on the inverter fail...cheap part ($186) but with diagnose and repair about $550 out the door. Mine failed at around 92k miles...I have added it to my maintenance schedule at 200k miles.....caused inverter failure code.

they said debris caused the cooling fan to malfunction for rear electric motor.
Had to take out rear seats to get to it.
