Talking RX400 anyone?

Would that not be great if Lexus would put that new 4.0 liter V6 engine that's inside the 03 4Runner into the next Lexus RX? From what I've heard, it's an aluminum block too right? It should not be that hard to convert it into a vertical mount engine. With the 4.0L V6, that would be more torque then the 3.3L V6 engine I heard that might be in the next generation RX.

Mounting would not be that hard since Nissan was able to use the same 3.5L V6 engine in almost all of their new cars out there in the Nissan and Infiniti line. FWD, RWD, and AWD all togethere.

Default Well

While it may be possible to mount it, using your Nissan logic, I still don't think it will happen. That's a Toyota TRUCK engine.. and the RX is sharing the platform with Toyota cars... No other vehicle on the Camry/ES300/Avalon/Sienna/Highlander/RX300/Solara platform will be seeing the 4.0L, so I highly doubt the use of the 4.0L in the RX. Toyota will build that engine for its trucks like the Tundra and Tacome soon.
