pictures...And how do you get away with that, in my city the police will stop you for any driver or passenger tint darker than permitted by California law.

What percentage did you get them tinted? I'm looking to get mine (soon) tinted as well. I've had all my cars tinted limo on the drivers/passenger side, and all the other windows tinted again, to match the drivers/passenger side. I'm thinking of toning it down some this time and just match the drivers/passenger side with the rest of the windows.

I haven't had aftermarket tint for several years. Does the maker still recommend that you limit how often you raise and lower your windows? The last time I had it, the driver side window got scratched quickly and gave things a halo effect at night. That doesn't happen to the factory tint since it's not an external film.

So to be sure, you made the backs darker and the fronts lighter?

Just got mine done yesterday (Saturday). Limo tints in the front and whatever in the back to even out the tints.

Except for the top part, about 6", there's no tints on the windshield so there's no problem driving on a dark road. Seeing out of the car is no problem, seeing in is. All my cars always had limo tints. The only problem I had was with my PT Cruiser, when backing up, it was hard seeing the side mirrors. No issues with the RX450, plus having the backup camera helps.

Nice ,However in the State of Alabama if you have limo tint that is the fast way to get the blue lights turn on you and have that yellow paper given to you that cost so much. I saw in the jail booking page were they have taken some to lock up for it. Sure, they must not have done what the police wanted them to do to get the ride to jail wanted them to do to get the ride to jail but I could do without that all that fun.

It's against the law in most states and can carry a hefty fine but usually (not always) it's only a problem if connected with another reason for a 'personal' introduction with an officer.

Here that IS the reason for the warm introduction with an officer and then they try to see what else they might find to add to it to give you a very big ticket.
