Angry Please help GS450h issue

Hi,

I am really sorry to bother you but I am at my wits end with my GS. I really like it but have had a constant issue with since I purchased it in late 2006 (it was a year old). I have searched the forums briefly but not really find solutions to the issue.

Basically in the last three months the A/C smells. I have had it in the dealership 5 or 6 times regarding this. They clean it out replace the filters etc and it starts to smell again after a few weeks and gets progressively worse to the point I take it back again. There was an issue of a recall or something but they said this had been done on the car (where they replace the whole A/C unit). I took it back again and they had it for three days and cleaned out again. It started smelling again (two months afterwards) and said they coudl not find any issues. The smell is always damp and mouldy.

Now recently if i leave the car overnight it fogs up on the inside. This has never happened before.

Any suggestions Lexus dealer have pretty much given up. Any help would be gratefully received. I want to take it in again but with some more info.

thanks in advance.

Look at the floor boards under all 4 seats... I recall seeing a while back some issue with the A/C unit leaving deposits on the floor boards.

Sorry forgot the mention with the fogging and condensation there is no pool of water in the car that I am aware of when I physically checked (e.g. under the glove box etc)

Check front passenger seat for wet carpets, also check back seats. There is an issue where the AC pipe is clogged and the water comes into the car. The mould and mildew smell you are having i am also dealing with it. There isnt much to be done to it, which is pretty sad. Someone on here said they had same issue where it smelled and they brought it to lexus, and lexus has found a dead rat under the cabin filter. You would need to research the forum to find that thread.

Also don't try to spray some air freshener or mold and mildew spray on the cabin filter or in the compartment where the filter sits. I have tried that and when i turned the fans on, I had all that stuff I had sprayed come into my face through the vents.
