Long time reader, first time poster! Great Forum, we have learned a lot about the RX here.

We ordered a 2011 RX450h with a shipping date of 10/15/10 from Japan to NJ.
About how long should it take to arrive at the dealer?

Steve, welcome to CL and congrats on your 450h. Figure about a month to ship from Japan. It'll hit Port Newark and then take a little longer to get to the dealer. Are you buying from a NJ or FL dealer?

 

hey steve, when did you guys submit the order?

 

We submitted our order on July 10th to be delivered to NJ.

A month... "Oh, the humanity" I don't know if I can take the wait

 

We ordered from a NJ Dealer.

 

That's good you got it in NJ. At least your RX won't have to travel far from port. And I'm sure a few people will be annoyed to hear you ordered your 2011 that early.

Don't we have two threads on when the 2011 would be available to order? Has me wondering if Steve has some special connections there

 

Must be nice to be that close to the port when your car shows up. Our car will show up in Jacsonville, Fl and then be turck to use some 500 miles away but that is better than the last time when the car showed up in Long Beach, Ca and had to be put on the train to Texus and then ship to New Orleans, La on the truck. Steve you should have to car by the first week of November.

July 10th is the date the salesperson said the RX was ordered.

Must be nice through our car that is on order Matador Red Mica, Parchment, Heads Up Display, Comfort Package, Rear Seat Entertainment, Mark Levinson Audio, Luxury Package,Park Assist,Tow Prep Package
Remote Engine Start.Paint Protection Film,Cargo net, Cargo Mat & Wheel Locks, LED headlights was told by this dealer what ever the tires that were on the car is what you get they will not swap tires out which is BS but it is what it is. I thing that the Michelins are the way to go to bad Lexus will go cheep when it comes to tires or will not let you order them just as you do everything else

We are getting conflicting shipping estimates, is there a way to track the actual shipping of our RX?

What is the traditional route Lexus uses to get the RX from Japan to NJ?

We just got great news, it appears our RX is to arrive at the NJ port on Oct. 15th!

 

you lucky duck. lol After the car leaves the factory there is no way to track it like a package.

 

Why take the fun out of it
