So I wanted to post here to see if anyone else figured this out. I got a compustar 901 put into my rx400h. It works great, but...

There is a catch with the lead wire to the 'tachometer' to tell the 901 to stop cranking as the engine is started. They tried attaching it to the power meter, but that broke the power meter as it then said it was in regenerative braking constantly. Then they tried a voltage meter off it, didn't work. Now it's attached to an ignition coil and that works if the engine turns on. Doesn't if the car is already warmed up. Basically if it's already warmed up it stays on for about 30 seconds as it tries to crank 3 times then it turns off.

Any idea how that tachometer lead should be attached?
