I just received the K&N intake for the GS350 and will try to install it, I'll let you know (+18HP claimed).

Angry K&N intake update: No Go

So I try to install the K&N 69-8702TP Intake kit on the GS450h, long story short, everything fits right EXCEPT the mass air sensor that is slightly bigger and has a different bolting pattern :-(
So it’s a no go for the 450h. I will contact K&N, they are in Riverside, not too far from San Diego, and will try to help them fix the problem, after all only one mounting bracket on the intake tube does not fit.

It amazes me that you guys are not afraid of tinkering with the delicate hybrid machinery. What if installing this intake screws up the engine and ends up costing you several thousands of dollars to fix?

How come ? This is a car, it has an engine, a motor and a computer, nothing fancy or delicate. Plus it's build like a Toyota, it can run several time around the world before getting an oil change... ;-)

Nothing fancy or delicate??? Are you joking? The machinery that makes the gas engine and electric motor run together is very complicated and I would never risk upsetting the balance set by the engineers who designed this gem.

:-) I'm still convinced you do not need to change the oil, ever, on this car !
