Arrow Help on some Lexus GS450h mods

Hello guys, I’m new to this board, I just got my Black ’07 GS450h 2 weeks ago, so far I’m delighted with it, (I actually have a couple of minor concerns but that will be for another thread).
I’m starting to look around for some mods, here what I’m thinking on doing now, I have some questions about some of theses mods; the collective experience of people on this board will be very welcome.

For a Black ’07 GS450h in no particular order:

Tinted windows - DONE
I went for a GSN40 Greystone film from Johnson Window Films, I liked their Ceramic film but it is “neutral” color, I want the tinting to be black, so I choose the next best, the Greystone that is non metallic and has a nice charcoal color to it. I'll post a pic soon
Shaved tags
Yeah, I’m from Europe, now living in San Diego, and over there, the only way to ride, is stealth...
Hardwired V1 and concealed display - DONELights - DONE
6000k HID lights (HID-D4S) (low Beam) - DONE
I just order a pair on eBay for $99 I know I took a risk...
Nokya 7000k 100W Arctic White (High Beam) - DONE
Nokya 7000k 100W Arctic White (Fog Light) - DONE
HiPower LED Parking light - DONE
HiPower LED Backup light - DONE
Do not bother changing the high beams bulb with a SilverStar, this is what come OEM...
Tanabe TNF112 lowering spring - DONE
How is the ride comfort affected? I’m not too much into performance and cornering, but more into comfort and style, I think this car is in desperate need of a small drop (at least to get the front and back gap identical…). Will 19” wheels fit without rubbing?
Black tail light
What is the best film to do theses? Is it legal in California?
Lexus Japan console tray - DONE
I’m not a smoker, I want to reclaim that space, the Lexus Japan console tray is very good and very easy to install, literally 5 minutes
Exhaust
I’m looking for an exhaust that add few horses, that is not louder than stock at low to med RPM but that has a nice deep grunt at high RPM, what is the community choice? Tom’s GS? Fabulous GS? Tanabe GS Medalion Touring? Single or Dual tip ?
K&N intake kit 69-8702TP - DO NOT FIT THE 450h
Using the kit for the GS350, it's rated for +18HP, It does not fit !
VIAStech SoundLinkQ SLI - DONE
I read a lot of good stuff about it, I wonder where you guys put the iPod, Glove Box or Center Console ?
5.1 and 6.1 Hybrid Navigation DVD - DONE
Very easy to do, I followed Sonartech post and I found the 5.1 LOADING.KWI here (Navigate trough the Ads, the file is there on the 3rd page)
Last but not least, did you guys know any good tuning shop in San Diego? Someone that obviously has good experience with Lexus and that does a very clean job?

Thanks a lot for your help

The result turned out not bad at all:

MrBig: I went ahead and started my mods, right now I have changed the fog light and high beam bulbs for some Silverstar ULTRA; the OEM high beam being already silverstar, there is no difference :-(
I have the lowering springs, the console tray, plenty more 6000k to 7000k bulbs and LED as well as the K&N intake kit for the GS350 in order, I will install all this and keep you guys posted and will try to post some pictures of the installation process.

I still looking for a window tinting shop that have the Madico Advanced Ceramic film around San Diego did you guys know any ?

I carefully studied the installation instruction for the K&N intake, it seems that it is going to fit the 450h (that has the same engine as the 350), I’ll let you know how it goes and will try to take picture along the installation.
I’m having the windows tinted tomorrow, I hope to receive the parts this week, I will work on it next week end.
I will have to hold a little on the exhaust, I like the TOM’s dual tip, but this will requires the TOM’s bumper too, so this it a $3000+ mod, so I will have to save a little first :-)

Unhappy K&N intake update

So I try to install the K&N 69-8702TP Intake kit on the GS450h, long story short, everything fits right EXCEPT the mass air sensor that is slightly bigger and has a different bolting pattern :-(
So it’s a no go for the 450h. I will contact K&N, they are in Riverside, not too far from San Diego, and will try to help them fix the problem, after all only one mounting bracket on the intake tube does not fit.

I hardwired my V1 to the cig lighter but I believe it can be hardwired at the headliner. I only did it to the cig lighter because I already had everything apart when I did the nav/dvd hack. I physically placed the V1 at the top of the window just above and to the left of the rear view mirror. When you get pulled over, police officers can't see it (ask me how I know ) and the rear sensor has a clear line of sight even with the sunvisor down.

i like mine below my line of sight. Perfect. I dropped the wire through the speaker. seemless.
I also had mine wired to the fuse within the cig lighter.

It looks like it gets rid of the lighter to make more room?

Is that correct?

I would not mind finding a plastic one -

I guess you are talking about the Lexus Japan console tray, yes It get rid of the lighter, that why I need to hardwire the V1.
