Will the 2006 rx400h play mp3s in the 6 disc changer? I have a loaner till we pick up our new to us car and its a 2006 rx330 and it doesn't play mp3's. Is the only option for mp3's to go with an ipod link?

 

AFAIK, no. check lexus.com site for details... I doubts if they will add mp3 into 2007...

 

I believe the Mark Levinson system in the RX line will play mp3s off a disc, not sure if this was true in the '06s.

 

On front dash, no MP3 playback regardless ML or not.
Unless you have the rear entertainment system... you use the rear DVD player to play MP3/WMA..

It is much easier just spend few more bucks to get the IPod link kit.

 

I have the rear dvd player. How do I play mp3's, just put the disc in the rear and then hit the disc button twice? But I won't have much control over the songs I believe right?

Who makes an IPOD kit that will work. Coastal tech said I can't use theirs because of the rear entertainment system, will vaistech work with the rear entertainment?
