Power Steering Failure

I am an owner of a Lexus RX 400h since 2009. The car manufactured date is 10/2006! Personally I had several problems. But two major. One before 4-5 years when car, stopped in the middle of the road. It was the inverter unit. A recall was issued but Lexus Greece never contacted me.
Now two weeks ago, while I was driving, suddenly the steering got really heavy, almost impossible to turn at low speeds. P/S light is on. I've searched the internet for the problem, especially in Europe or in Greece but had no success to find out if there is a recall for the Power Steering unit or not.

But I haven't found any official documents about a recall issued. I am asking, cause Lexus Greece told me that there is no recall and replacement of the unit costs around 2000€ !!!

Anybody familiar with the problem?
