I put down a deposit in August 04, i was number 29 on the list. In June of 05 I started test driving the demo at the dealer and two other hybrids as they came in. July 1 my silver metallic rolled off the boat and i purchased it the next day. MSRP , however got discount on extended warranty and rock chip protection. Sold my old suv privately. At 3,500 miles i am very happy, and am averageing 26 to 28 mpg with mixed hiway city driving, mostly without AC. (Its Seattle).
I like the power of course, the doubling of gas mileage from my old truck, the ride, better handling and the seats. As i try to take care of this vehicle im surprised at some of the interior marks that are hard to remove on the hard surfaces, other than that no complaints. My springer spaniel is angry however as he cannot ride in this vehicle (except in a kennel), we do take trips in my other truck.

Sterling McCall in Houston had/has a handful on the lot. I wish I got the Levinson but it wasn't available immediately. Why oh why is Sirius not available on these cars?...no excuse whatsoever and very disappointing.

I really miss the burlwood... Already ordered the Sherwood Dash kit and looking for a walnut burl rx330 shift ****.... They quoted me $3500. for a wood steering wheel... Guess I'll have to pass on that!

Okay--it is white exterior w/ beige interior.
I ordered it after seeing one at the 2004 Detroit Auto Show (I am from Ann Arbor, MI.)
I waited about a year and a half after putting a 1k deposit down and then paid full price.
Her name is Joyce (the voice) and she is fast, smooth and oh, so much fun.
I seem to average 24.5 mpg no matter what and that was a bit of a
disappointment initially but hey, I love the speed, the GPS (how did I ever manage without?)

LOVE the RX400h! Lexus should have put SMART ACCESS on this car. MAJOR oversight. It's a brilliant machine, with TONS of power. CVT is amazing, especially considering the traditional 5sp auto in RX330. Driving it HARD and still getting 24-25 mpg. Once gas engine breaks in a 10K-12K, mpg could creep up to 27-28. AWESOME car.

 

Picked up my flint mica black interior no extras. $3000 off. 1 month wait for exact color interior combo. Wilde Lexus of Sarasota. They matched lowest internet financing. Loving it so far. The driving experience is what this car is all about not gas mileage.

I just wanted to add that I bet some of you lucky owners are from the Newport Beach, CA area, since here in NJ, all I see are RX330s, I go visit my family in the Newport Beach area and there are RX400hs all over the place! Also that area is like an outdoor showroom or Exotic cars, so you can see everything there! I have never seen so many MB AMG vehicles concentrated in one area in my lifetime!

Quite a change from my 2002 RX300. Fast and comfortable. Better gas mileage even at speed.
The Nav is more usable with the workaround. Bluetooth is still a problem.
I can't believe they removed the sun visor extensions, Sun hits me in the left eye at times.
Radio reception not quite up to my RX300, But the 6 disc changer is better than the glove box cassette.
