2RX 2006 RX400h Official ROLLCALL/Welcome Thread!!!
Picked up a Silver / ash. Heated seats, Mark Levinson. Could've had a white/ivory with same equipment or a white/ivory with same plus RSES, or could've had a black/black with everything.
Lexus is very smart and has a good amount of these in the dugout.
I think that a six month wait will get you a discount!
Go gently,

1. color: Black Onyx
2. interior: black
3. waiting list: since May 05. got on the "short" list since I came, test drove, and placed a deposit.
4. location: Seattle
I'm familiarizing myself with the 400h. Being an obviously larger vehicle than my former Integra, I'm getting a feel for sitting higher up, my "road presence", no longer parking in "compact car" spaces, etc.
Also, had to clear out my tandem style garage so I could pull in the 400h and raise the hatch without having it hit the garage door or opener.

Picked up my 400h last Thursday.
Silver exterior
Black interior
Mark Levinson
factory rear DVD
rain sensing wipers/heated seats
Love it love it! I was only looking into RX330 at first. Until I test drove the 400h. I let it rip during the test drive (cool dealer he just hands me the key to whatever I want to drive, alone
since I bought from him before and had referred other customers to him). My initial thought was that it pulled like an X5 4.4 V8. I reset the average fuel consumption monitor before I left. When I returned the car it STILL said 20.4mpg the way I let it rip. Impressive. So I thought I should and would be happy to get mid 20s in normal driving.
My first tank of gas (came with the car) went 380 miles. Computer says 26.8MPG, it took 13.9 gallons to fill. This was 85% highway with speeds varied between 55-70. Very impressive! My car had 12 miles on the odometer. I hope it gets even better after it's fully broken in. The Mark Levinson sound system rocks, especially compared to this so called M audio system in my other car

3. Waiting List : NO - Picked it up in two days (Mid August).
4. Where: Toronto, Canada
Traded in my X5 4.4i - gas is even more expensive here in Toronto than in the US and a BMW X5 without a warranty is a very scarry thing. I can proivide details privately for those interested
I do love the Lexus but it is VERY different from the BMW. Pluses and minuses on both sides. The X5 is a much sportier drive with a lot more rubber on the road, tighter steering and much stiffer suspension. The Lexus is smoother and feels more like a luxury vehicle (yes I know that was the design target). Surprisingly the acceleration seems about the same.
Over the fist 1400 or so kms (approx 900 miles) I have managed a very good 8.5 l/100 km (that is about 28 mpg) in mixed driving. I think I am more used to trying to conserve gas in my driving coming from the X5. If you don't know how to drive conservatively in the X5 you will get around 14 mpg
Overall love the vehicle, I just want Lexus to copy some of the nicer features in the X5 for the future versions of this vehicle. Assuming it does not have a reliabilty problem I would probably buy it again. I would love to see what the next gen does...
