Advice about windshield recalibration
Hi,
I’d like your advice regarding windshield recalibration. My car is a 2019 Lexus NX300h base model with approximately 35,000 miles. The windshield has developed a crack about 70mm long. I consulted a local autoglass company about repairing the crack, but they recommended a replacement instead.
They provided a quote for an aftermarket windshield, as the OEM version would cost close to USD $2,000. However, they informed me that they cannot issue a certificate of recalibration. I've reached out to my car insurance provider regarding the certificate of recalibration but have not yet received a response.
Your advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and regards,
Henry
