When I purchased my HS 250h, there was already a chip/crack in the windshield. It's right in my sight line and also prevents me from having my windshield tinted. I've been thinking about replacing the windshield and wanted to find out how much people have paid to replace theirs.
I have not replaced, but I remember when looking at the info for the hs I recall it saying the windshield is designed to reduce noise. I'm not sure if it's just marketing but you migh want to make sure that the replacement is the same quailty and provides the same benifits. Although if you are replacing it yourself you'd have to determin if thats worth the cost to you. Can the replacement be covered with insurance? I know some states insurance cover windshield replacements, not sure about NV.
OEM windshield probably goes for $1200+.
After market $300-$450.
Most insurance companies won't go for the OEM cost. You may have to pay the difference if you go with OEM.
Does your HS have the auto features that include the camera in the rear view mirror?
(auto wiper N such)
Not sure, but that might need something special.

I don't have any of the features that I would imagine would cause my windshield to be anything more than just regular glass.
I had to switch out mine due to a rock chip. I paid the 300 comp deductible for my insurance but the bill I got from the windshield company was for 800. They installed the real Lexus glass has the lexus logo on it. The tech said at they time there was no aftermarket glass for the one that is used with the HUD since it has a different part number. They ordered the glass from a local lexus dealer. This was 2 years ago.
