What MPG do you usually get? I found there is a huge difference in fuel consumption with or without patience when driving it. When I drive freely without attention to whether it's in eco mode or ev mode, I usually get 6.x to 7.x l/100km. Then I'm upset and try a soft start and more coasting, and I choose small roads where I can drive more slowly like around 40-50km/h, and 30 ish near schools. And I got 4.6 l/100km, which is 51 MPG! This car really is training me how to drive, a little bit more patience and time on the road meaning a lot of money in return!

its called physics. Drivin fast in a car, physics is not your best friend. LOL. On my 350h over 4.5K miles, I have been getting with winter temps and gas- around 36-39 mpg. Late summer/fall weather, it ranged fromed 39-44. A few fluke trips got flukes trips in the high 40's to low 50's when all conditions are very favorable like gong down hill a lo and it stay in EV operation considerably longer.. I guess the most impressive, realistic trip was a fall trip from Colorado spring to Cripple Creek, CO and on that mountain driving trip of about 120 miles ,I got 44mpg. I use regular.

 

I am averaging 6.8L/100KM after 5000KM. Mixed local and highway driving.

 

I use regular and don't particularly drive conservatively.

I do however use adaptive cruise a lot and do a fair amount of Highway driving. My commute to the office (when I go in about once weekly) is about 70km with a fair amount of traffic for about a quarter of the drive as I get into Vancouver.

I've find that with adaptive cruise set to about 120km/h, I average about 6.8L/100km. However, just dropping that to 105km/h and factoring in the traffic, I average 5.9L/100km, even with our mild winter temps in Vancouver.

I calculate my consumption every fill up and it averages between 5.9-6.4L/100km

Also, shorter trips tend to play havoc with your consumption. You get better mileage as your trip length increases.

BTW, I have ~18000km on the odometer after 9 months of ownership.

Gone from cold months to cool months and still breaking in the engine and around town averaging 38-40 mpg.

 

I just joined ClubLexus having taken delivery on a 450h+ at the beginning of April. I have been trying to determine how to measure the MPG of my car in HV mode. Since this thread quotes MPG numbers it appears some of you know how to measure this, hopefully also on a 450h+. As far as I have been able to determine, the only way to do this is to keep track of how many EV only miles are driven between gasoline fill-ups, subtract that number from the total odometer change between fill-ups, and divide that difference by the number of gallons purchased at fill-up. Adding up the number of EV miles driven every time I recharge the batteries between fill-ups is an onerous task. Does anyone have an easier method?

 

They are all Hybrid only, NOT EV. Notice they have 350H not the 450H+

 

There is no easy way.

 

On my first tank, according to the 7 display inch fuel consumption gauge, I had 45 mpg over 150 miles. When I filled up it only took 2.7 gallons which means even higher. The 7inch display is still keeping me above 45 mpg, about 75% around town. But still. It seems no matter how this shakes out the mpg is very good. And the NX350h is a delight…but…only had it close to two weeks. Stay tuned.

I've tried this and while it sorta works, I find I'm watching my display more than where I'm going, so am not going to do this very much. Avoiding the cost of a collision will save a LOT more $ than the gas we're talking about here.

 

Have had a week with my 2024 NX350h. Not really trying and getting 43.1 mpg, very happy with this. Granted I haven't really taken any extended highway trips. I do miss my 2018 Audi SQ5 handling and acceleration but don't miss the 17-19 mpg I use to get in the city. Also hated the stop start on the Audi. You can't really feel the engine stopping and starting on the NX.

 

I’m averaging 6.9l/100km. Mostly short 15km highway trips. Being in city and driving low speeds is the key for hybrids. Still decent considering I have 20” wheels and the weight of the car. I’m satisfied. Could be better but then it’s a driver issue, not the car.
