Default Trunk release button on trunk.

The trunk release/open button on the lower lip of my trunk is acting intermittent. Plus the exterior rubber coating in turning into mush. Has anybody replaced one of these? If so, you do you get it out of the trunk? Where are the attack bolts located.

This has been covered before. A simple search using the term trunk found it:

In short you have to remove part or all of the inner trunk lining to get at the trunk release bolts. It should just pry off like a door panel then can be popped back on when done.
