Default Electronic Key Proframing

I've recently purchased a used Lexus HS250h from dealer not selling Lexus. I only got one electronic key fob. I've ordered a new one from internet site and they state that I have to go to a Lexus Dealership in order to get it programmed. Is there a way I can program it myself without having to pay $150.00 for them to do it? I'd appreciate any info regards this matter. So, far I think the car is assume. Thanks for input. No manual programming on the hs, but the key guy I use has the software to do it when customers don't want to pay the larger dealer cost. Most key guys do as longas its not a reseed. Generally around $45

I had the same situation, bought my 2010 HS250h used from a used car dealer with only one key fob. I suspect that a second one exists but the dealer keeps it in case the car needs to be repossessed.
I purchased my fob from Sewell online with the Club Lexus discount and found a local certified locksmith with an electronic programming tool. It required the original key fob and the car to be present for him to do the programming and my cost was $90 (he also cut the new key blank). The new fob has different presets for the seat adjustments, so you will have reset the three seat adjustments. You can use different preset adjustable settings on each key fob on the premium model.

Where are you in WI? You ever near the Chicago area? I have the tech stream software and would love to try it out. I believe as long as you have a existing key and the new key you purchased is brand new, not a used key it should program in tech stream without needing a seed. So if you have not gotten it programed yet let me know and we can give it a shot if you are interested.

You have the tech stream software, huh?

Very interesting, indeed.
