First mechanical problem
Had the car in for a Maintenance Service @56,700 km [34,800 mi]. The technician discovered a transmission fluid leak. A transmission output shaft seal has been ordered. They will need the car for several hours to complete the repair so I'll be given a loaner. The repair is covered by the warranty.
This is the first mechanical problem with the car since I bought it (a demo w/about 9,000 km) in January of 2011. Until now there have been only a couple of minor issues involving the body and trim (the front and rear emblems were replaced, and the driver's window developed a rattle that required a new window regulator).
I haven't seen any postings in this forum about defective output seals, so this doesn't seem to be a common issue with the HS.
