Hello,
I had my 07 IS' windwos tinted last year and there was no issue until couple of days ago. When I rolled passenger's side window down, it made squeeking sound like it had something stuck and scrapping against my window or something. I took a close look at my window and there was no single scratch on the tinted part, but I have no idea where that squeeking noise is coming from. I don't even know if it has anything to do with the tinted window.
Has anyone had the similar problem before? If so, what have you done to get it fixed? I'm afraid to take it to dealer since they can possibly blame it on the tinted window. Help!!
is it squeaking? or the sound of something scraping it? My windows arent tined and one of them started to have a metal scraping sound when going up. turns out the problem was the window actuator (which was replaced under warranty) but im not sure if a problem like that your dealer would still replace under warranty
ahhh mee!!! i have the same problem... mine sqeeks too... but everytime after i wash the car it stops untill i think half a day later.... i think the tint is causing the sqeeks but not sure im thinking about lubricating the side of the window maybe it will slide more smoothly lol

It sounds kinda squeaking and metal scraping. It sounds like it has some rock being scraped against the window.
OK.. I will go to carwash place and spray that pressured water against window and gap to wash out any debris or dust and see how that turns out.
thanks for inputs!
