Lexus emblem
I noticed that my rear "Lexus" blue hybrid emblem's silver lining was flaking off and asked the dealer when I was in for other service if this was covered under warranty. He actually was surprised that it was a covered item.
To the service persons surprise, the service dept really had a hard time removing the old emblem and replacing it with a new one. In short, they gouged the paint around the trunk emblem pretty good and left a large scratch about an inch deep in the paint . They tried to buff it out but to no avail. Sadly to say, they took upon themselves to send the car to the paint shop to have the trunk repainted. Crazy. The service guy was shocked, since he said they replace lots of them. Must have been an inexperienced dude.

I was wondering about that, both our front and rear emblem are showing their age and was wondering about warranty.
I'll bring it up later this month when it's in for it's spring checkup.

Just bought my one owner 2010 HS and looked up the Lexus work orders that had been performed on the car, The last service prior to my purchase was that both the front and rear emblems were replaced. Sounds like a flaw in them all.
