Whine at Low Speeds
Our HS has developed a whine within the past two weeks. It is sporadic and seems to make the noise regardless if I’m on battery or ICE.
For some context. We recently had the transmission drained and filled at the dealership. Front struts had to be replaced along with front rotors and pads, which we had done at a local shop.
I can’t say for certain that the noise started after the transmission service because it went straight to the local shop for other repairs. It started about a week after everything.
The only thing I’ve noticed differently is slightly worse fuel economy. Hovering around 35-37 and it’s typically more around 40. I’m in New England, so it could just be the cooler temps.
In the video I’m slightly accelerating and de accelerating. My question is should I take it to the dealer or back to our local shop?
It’s a 2010 with 91k miles and all recalls have been done.
Any suggestions or help is much appreciated!
Take it back to the local shop. Tell them the noise was not there when you brought the car to them.

Appreciate the response! I have an appointment Wednesday and will report back. An alignment was performed, not sure on the other things you mentioned.
~ thank you!
